Install0us 2.5 is now available on it’s own dedicated repository. Puy0 (the developer) has added many new features, including Auto-IPA Install and Delete, the option to specify a home page, and a new layout. this new version of install0us is now hosted on it’s own repository, instead of hackulo.us’s repository. Use the below source to download Install0us 2.5:

Once you have added the above source in Cydia, you can search for Install0us (the 0 is a zero) and install the package.
The new install0us is great and has many new features, but someone from xSellize has created a custom home page for Install0us which allows you to access many different Cracked IPA sites from one convienient location. Use this source to get the package

Now search for custom install0us. install the package in the search results from the xSellize repo. The package should do everything for you, so the next time you open install0us you will have your custom home page. Look at the below images for the new loading screen and the custom home page.

With the new unlock out called Blacksn0w, there are multiple ways to install it. This guide is for the people that have already jailbroken their iPhone 3G/3GS on the 3.1.2 firmware.
1. Open Cydia and wait for it to load.
2. Tap on the Manage tab. Then tap Sources, then the edit button in the top right, and finally the add button in the top left.
3.The following screen will appear. Enter the same source that is pictured in the screenshot.
Once you have entered the source and tapped add, Cydia will refresh.
4. Once Cydia has finished refreshing, tap on the Search tab and search for Blacksn0w (The o in Blacksn0w is a zero)
6. Before you tap on the package and install it, make sure your T-Mobile (or other unofficial carrier) SIM card is inserted already.
7. Once it is in the phone, install the package.
NOTE: T-MOBILE USERS – DISABLE 3G NETWORKING IN THE SETTINGS APPLICATION OR YOUR PHONE MIGHT NOT CONNECT TO THE NETWORK, AND JUST CONTINUE TO SAY SEARCHING.

Now that geohot has released the new unlock for the 05.11.07 baseband, there are multiple ways to install it.
If you have not jailbroken already, use blackra1n to jailbreak. Once the jailbreak is sucessful and your device has rebooted, an application called blackra1n will appear on your homescreen. All you have to do is install Cydia and the unlock.
If you have already jailbroken, open Cydia and type in the following source:
http://blackra1n.com/
Cydia will refresh and the source will be installed. Now tap on the search tab and search for Blacksn0w. Install it and reboot your iPhone.
NOTE: If you are using a carrier that doesn’t use the same 3G frequencies as at&t (like T-Mobile) then make sure you turn off the 3G capabilities in the settings application. If you do not turn it off, your iPhone may continue to search for a network to connect to and never end up connecting and working.
NOTE #2: When apple releases a new firmware for iPhone’s, make sure that you do not upgrade to that new firmware. You will be stuck without an unlock for a while. Be careful when it comes to these things : )

A dutch hacker recently logged into several iPhones in the Netherlands, and displayed a message on the phone saying that had full access to the phone and he could do whatever he wanted.
Statement from the Dutch Hacker:
If you don’t pay, it’s fine by me, but remember, the way I got access to your iPhone can be used by thousands of others-they can send text messages from your number (like I did), use it to call or record your calls, and actually whatever they want, even use it for their hacking activities! I can assure you, I have no intention of harming you or whatever, but, some hackers do! It’s just my advice to secure your phone.
Don’t worry about this if you haven’t jailbroken your iPhone or iPod Touch, you are safe. If you have and you installed openssh and didn’t change the password, below are the steps.
1. Install the MobileTerminal package from Cydia.
2. Open Terminal from your springboard and type su root and press enter once it has loaded.
3. You will be asked for a password. The password is alpine.
4. Now type cd and press enter.
5. Type passwd and press enter. You will be prompted to enter a password. The letters will not show when you type them. Press enter to confirm once you have typed the password.
6. You will be asked to confirm it by typing it again.
7. Once you have done that, type passwd mobile and press enter.
8. Enter the password once, press enter and then type it again to confirm it.
It should be changed now. Use the new password to login to the phone with SSH in the future.

In my last guide, I stated that I would have a guide for SSHing without WiFi. This guide is for the people who wish to view the iPhone/iPod touch filesystem over a USB connection. SSHing over USB is much, much quicker for data transfer.
Here’s the guide:
1. Click here to download the iFunBox program.
2. Right click on the ZIP folder, and select ‘Extract All’.
3. Once the folder has finished extracting, open the executable file inside the folder.
4. The standard iFunBox window will look like this when no device is connected:
5. Now you can connect your iPod touch/iPhone. Once it is plugged in, your device will appear in the window, so double click on it and you will get a set of options like this:
6. If you are using this to put themes on, or something like that, just double click on raw file system to browse the files on the device.

Currently, there are two ways that WinterBoard themes can be installed onto an iDevice.
1. Downloaded and installed using Cydia.
2.Manually SSH’ed into the device.
The first method is the most commonly used, but if you have the files for a theme that is not on Cydia, method two is the only option.
Steps to manually install themes:
1. First, connect to your device over a WiFi SSH connection.
2. Once you have logged in, this window will be displayed. Navigate to /private/var/stash/themes
The themes folder may have some random numbers after it. That is still the same folder.
3. Drag n’ drop your theme folder into the themes folder.
4. Open Winterboard and activate the theme. The theme name will be whatever the theme folder is called.
Done! You can now close and disconnect the WinSCP window.

How to SSH into an iPod touch or iPhone:
1. First, we need an SSH client. There are many to choose from, but the client I use is WinSCP. Click here to download it.
2. Once you have installed the program, open it and a window like this will appear:
3. Your computer and iPod touch/iPhone must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network. On your iDevice, go to Settings>WiFi>and tap on the arrow next to your wifi network. This will display your IP Address. Write it down as you will need it for the next step.
6. The next step is to tell the program what to connect to. Click on the new button at the top right, and fill it out like this:
Put your IP address (not my one) in the Host name box.
The user name is root
The password is alpine
Leave the port number as it is
Now click the login button
6. You will get this window.
Congratulations! You are free to go through the iPod touch or iPhone filesystem.
